@FaustoTheBoozehound I do sometimes wonder if they always could but navigation aids weren't as high resolution as they are now so what was once deemed impassable is now navigable. But obvs depending on which side of the line you're on, there's an agenda to be pushed. Got to be careful where we all get our info from. Fortunately I spent long enough working at doctoral level in this area to recognise that not is all as it is politically deemed best to be and glaciology colleagues (in particular) are as cynical of the funding-findings water-muddying as we all should be. As such I'm not worried about my grandchildrens' futures from a climate point of view but very aware that the communists pushing the climate agenda pose the greater threat to their well-being. Carry-on being beaten by the eco-communism big stick though and you're right where they want you. It's all about control.
