  1. The female form, depicted in the statuary, is probably just depicting pregnant women since the sculptures are most likely 'fertility' charms! But the curvy, BBW form of female is actually more prevalent today than ever. And not just during pregnancy,(due to our relative, 'modern soft=life of abundance'). Why did you have to ask if that was how they looked back then !?!? But I will give you some context the only definite way for this body size/shape being prevalent would, usually, only be possible if they had an abundant food supply, there might even be less likely possibilities, but they are so far unproven ...........
