@sylvieshuu erm no. The gear towards humans was a learned behaviour. Throughout history it was almost like an interspecies war. Wolves used to claim thousands of lives and before humans got guns they simply couldn't deal with them. Guns changed the game for humans and so generations of hunting has made them naturally fear humans in most cases. When hungry they'll attack full grown, armed men like in ww1. And plus arctic wolves don't fear humans at all...

@vesuvius115 then explain the shooting. The one theory that makes the most sense is that it was a wolf dog hybrid or a large dog. Because not all dog breed have elongated muzzles. And it would explain the surviving the shootings because with boar skin as protection and other armour this would make sense. Because if they shot a big cat multiple times they would be able to follow a trail of blood to its dead body. The guys shooting are hunters so aren't just shooting for fun they know how to kill with their shots... A large dog with armour is the best theory.

@vesuvius115 it was likely a large wolf. McKenzie wolves get up to 7ft in length from head to tail.

@vesuvius115 but they said it seemed like there were multiple predators. That theory would be true if it was one but it just seems like a pack of wolves with large members

@vesuvius115 no one brings a pride of lions to Europe, that would be obvious. Its certainly wasn't a big cat

@vesuvius115 and now you're overdoing it. A tiger would've been obvious, there were people that seen it and lived to tell the tail. And the reason I'm saying lions is impossible is because they don't keep all lions in the same cage, so losing one might be plausible but losing a couple isn't realistic and they'd definitely realise a few lions missing 😂😂😂

@vesuvius115 Omg you seriously know nothing about dogs. THE FRENCH MASTIFF THEIR NATIONAL DOG WITH A SHORT MUZZLE HAS BEEN ROAMING FRANCE SINCE THE 14TH CENTURY!!! A hybrid with a wolf would certainly be unrecognisable to most people and the hunters are not stupid. They weren't all average hunters, remember the king called their best men. They would know what a hit looks like, they aren't stupid. Why would the animal fall to the ground if not hit? They clearly said after each shot the animal fell to the ground and got up multiple times. Its not even a debate if it got shot or not, they certainly hit it. So sorry to cruch your big cat theory 😂😂😂😂 It was probably a hybrid protected by armour...

@vesuvius115 are you blind ? I said hybrid from a short muzzled dog and wolf. People have been making hybrid gor thousands of years. A hybrid having boar skin protecting it makes the most sense.

@vesuvius115 again, hybrid. There are dog breeds with that skull...
