@gracieradke6176 because dogs are like super humans in a sense. When we sleep and are in deep sleep the house can get robbed without you knowing. A dog can wake up from deep sleep from the slightest noise. They can tell if someone is coming to the door before they even knock or get really close without fail. Trust me even the guys in the army know their value and how irreplaceable they are. Lastly in countries like mine we ain't allowed to carry around weapons so if someone thinks about attacking me with my rottie by my side its game over for them

So true tho, people think the biggest is always the best in the guarding world. That is completely false, a guard dog needs a mix of mobility, strength and alertness.

@revelationlamentations5366 if I was a robber I could certainly get in and out of her house before that dog could move 2 ft, its mobility looks terrible for a guard dog

@b.d.851 yes for most dogs but this one certainly isn't

@revelationlamentations5366 think about it, their skin covers a lot of their vision. Can it even walk straight? Never mind taking down an intruder, their best function would be a deterrent but if the robber or gang has some balls you'll be in big trouble. By the time it moves it neck to turn and look at the noise made from an intruder they would have already died from old age 😂😂 Capable guard dogs can even handle multiple people by switching their bites from person to person. And lastly im sure you'd want to prosecute the person robbing you, breeds like the rottweiler or GSD will quickly apprehend anyone trying to get away so you can do exactly so.

@b.d.851 if I was a robber I'd take my chances vs them slow 0 agility dogs 😂

@NIMMHATVRapBeats bro even if they ain't military trained they are fast. I'm literally one of the fastest people in my city and me running with a head start with my rottweiler just makes him want to catch me faster than if I was closer 😂😂. The speed in which he closes the gap is frightening

I died reading this 😂😂😂😂😂😂

@b.d.851 huh?

@justinlough9057 well I know a guy who has a rottweiler that he walks off leash in public. It didn't need to get trained, it naturally stayed by him and just walks perfectly by his side.

isabel ward yes youre 100% right, I have a rottweiler and he's loving most times but when he needs to be protective he doesn't need to be told, something in him awakes and he's ready for the job😂 And you're also right in the sense that for a protection dog you need a mixture, can't just be large with a small amount of agility. I've made sure my rottweiler stayed lean for that exact reason, he can jump high fences, crawl under small spaces and run over 30mph. Hes the complete package if you ask me

isabel ward what little growl purr thing? 😂and if you have Instagram or anything i can just show you how he looks like. And getting a rottweiler is not as easy as getting other dogs. Because of the popularity of the breed most rottweilers have been poorly bred so finding an actual well bred one is hard

isabel ward thats not a rottweiler thing. I know what video you're talking about. He's on tik tok. My rottweiler is not that vocal compared to most, he's more of a body language type of dog so I really have to read him to understand what he wants or feels in certain moments. Its a personality thing, just like humans have differences in how they communicate, like some are louder some are quieter etc, its the same for dogs.

@Bunny-eg8vp dogs didnt come from wolves, they just share a common ancestor 🤦🏿♂️

@amacca995 rotties are slow ? On what planet?

@ognjen8964 kangals dont. The actual test was never done it's just people recycling the same lie. Just because a lie is repeated dont make it true. Unless you can show me the specific study and test ?

@NIMMHATVRapBeats I took him to the park late at night so it was really dark and this jogger was running at the other side of the park but my rottweiler seen him jogging and with my rottweiler since hes only 14 months when someone runs he sees it as a game and will always chase... Before I knew it he was gone like a bullet, I shouted from a distance to stop running because in a couple seconds he'd see something big and black emerging from the shadows since rottweilers are impossible to see at night 😂😂😂but luckily his recall skills improved enough for him to come back
