Scotty Kilmer is a car primary care physician. You are a Toyota care specialist! I loved the endless money pit picture of Mercedes lol

There is a LOT of pressure these days from EPA, IIHS and NHTSA to make highly unrealistic fuel efficient engines and five star safety rated cars. The result? Extremely complex software and super high tech electronics. That adds additional failure points on top of just mechanical wear and tear of parts. Show me one software that has been bug free when it was released to production. If you want to be super conservative and avoid the new model warranty, TSB and recall headaches, wait until the redesigned engine and transmission design combo has been out for atleast five years and get the 6th year model. I had a new Mustang with redesigned engine and transmission and I fully understand what you are going through. I traded-in that shit box last month. For the first 5 years, owners are literally like guinea pigs or to sound more polished, beta testers. That said, Toyota is so much better than other manufacturers.

I have a question about pre-purchase inspection for a 2016 Highlander at a Toyota dealership. Is it okay to pay the same dealership technician for a pre-purchase inspection or is it better to go to a different dealership for the inspection? Also, is it really required to inspect CPO cars? Aren’t they are already inspected and certified by technicians? Thank you kindly.

Toyota’s suffering is also a blessing. They are into Kaizen. Things only get better and stronger than ever from there.

Hey brother! How is the Avalon different from the V6 Camry? Are they built on the same platform? Thanks!

@TheCarCareNut Okay, thank you kindly.

LOL 🤣🤣. You cracked me up William!

If that were to happen, Toyota would do a warranty extension campaign. They stand by their products.

@davecrupel2817 Only time till tell. To be fair, it takes years to perfect a technology. I think Toyota engineers are smart. EPA also wants 0 emissions and infinite MPG. It’s a tough balance to strike. Market competition is another factor.
