Yeah no The military attacking would end the cartel once and all As for the border issue if the military is deployed, its a non issue Home security only has 11 MQ-9s. The USAF could bolster their MQ-9s from 11 to 50 With 50 MQ-9s , there border would have complete coverage leaving zero gaps for the cartel to exploit The USN would need to provide at least 10 EA-18Gs. Thanks to operations in Afghan and Iraq, the USN developed a method where Growlers can track radio-frequency sources in real time. They can trilaterate the signals to "a very, very small area. Signals as weak as cellphone or GPS receivers like Garmin can be located with Growlers Additionally if they decide they wanna fight, drop a Hellfire on them and the survivors will rethink their life choices very quickly As for assassinating public officials in the United States They are not that brave or stupid The MQ-9 with Hellfire and JDAM/PAVEWAYs is more than enough to take the fight out the cartel Nothing is more demoralizing than watch the truck in front of you get turned into a smoking hole in the ground with nothing but pieces left or coming back to your base of operations and finding nothing crater or you trying hide in civilians but they still drop the Salami slicer Aka AGM-114 RDX and turn your buddy in ground beef in front u Instead of trying to capture nacro subs, they start blowing them out the water. Instead of retiring them, the USN can old attack subs sonar to locate nacro subs

@alexibm2477 Whats the point triaging issue when you dont deal with the source of the problem Cartels can't sell if they are dead Users can't buy from the cartel is not are long around or afraid to sell

@alexibm2477 And military grade attacks is the way to solve it

The USMC F-18s and F-35C can operate from CVNs and the F-35B operate from the LHA/D The A-10 cant operate on carriers nor can its design be adopted The A-10 can land in 1000 ft but depending on what its loaded with needs at much 4000 ft The F-35B land and take off from 1000 ft The A-10 is make to short range attacks, its longest range weapon is the GBU-39. The F-35B/C can carry long range cruise missiles for land attack and anti ship which the USMC needs for operations in the pacific In short , the A-10 isnt a fit for the USMC

Its called MQ-9 and Helffire

Wrong metric The F-16 doesnt need to compete with any Russian aircraft Ukraine needs the F-16s ability to freely use any western weapons Case in point, Ukraine cant use the AGM-88 fully with the MIG-29 or Su-27 whereas the F-16 can use it to max capability The US ,Poland or Australia can do Ukraine a huge favor and provide baseline JASSM-A

@00calvinlee00 Yes and no its wasnt forced. Yes the USN objected because the USMC air wings would no longer be in the carrier rotations however the USMC changed their minds The F-35B was going to be the sole aircraft for the USMC air wing but studies showed that space was at premium with the F-35B and adopting it with the Next Generation Jammer pods would be too problematic for it to replace the EA-6B however the F-35C on the other hand was trifecta First , they would stay in the USN carrier rotation appeasing the USN, Second the F-35C can easily carry the Next Generation Jammer pods but most importantly is the F-35Cs weapons bay is the same size as the F-35A which allows for internal weapon carriage for weapons like AGM-88G and other larger weapons that F-35B cant carry Additionally with the F-35C on CVN with EW pods, they can do the same as before and interoperate EW pods with the USN as well as additionally capabilities There is a lot of reasons why the USMC realized the F-35C made sense.

No, the best way to kill cartels is called MQ-9 They will be less eager when they see their fellow members and bases reduced to smoking holes in the ground The US military AGM-114 RDX aka, the salami slicer also available if they think they can hide in populated areas with civilians

The A-10 has had its time and is long over due for retirement The F-15E carry up 28 GBU-53 which can shred armor from up 70 miles away but can also carry AIM-9s and AIM-120s for self defense Getting up close is not longer possible for the A-10 In Ukraine, the SU-25 which Russia's counterpart to the A-10 accounts for heavy loss to both Russian and Ukrainian forces Russia has lost 41 while Ukraine has 30 MANPADS have dealt heavy damage to both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft As technology is getting better, MANPADS are getting better seekers but most important is larger warheads and SHORAD systems are also improving its simple math
