@Megan Bezio Its good idea but there are several problems The biggest problem is once they are Ukraine, they are now a target for russian cruise missiles which Ukraine forces have no effective defense against They can get MIG-29s, Su-27s and Su-25 which can operate off austere roads which makes the more survivable but Ukraine needs aircraft with advanced air ground capabilities as well as weapons Aircraft with advanced capabilites could easily decimate that convoy outside of kyiv The Javelin is provided because the US can easily replace the technology in the missile. Replacing the technology in aircraft is much harder The only aircraft that fits the bill for Ukraine is the JAS-39 Even if you provided the aircraft, you still need pilots, personnel , weapons and fuel and the ability to move quickly The JAS-39 can do all of that but training pilots will take time

Longer range than ATGMs While aircraft have many advantages there are several ground based weapons that can also make a huge impact and can be delivered in large numbers quickly

@meganbezio4320 They cant' operate in Moldova without risk I am sure they are plenty of pilots willing to fly but again still need personnel , weapons and fuel and the ability to move quickly
