False France made the Rafale use to mainly French made weapons whereas the Typhoon can use any weapon. The Typhoon can use the AIM-9 , IRIS- T, ASRAAM for WVR whereas the Rafale is limited to the MICA. The AIM-9X block II has full 360 off boresight capability whereas the MICA is limited to 90. For BVR, the Typhoon again has the option of the AIM-120 or Meteor whereas the Rafale is limited to Meteor. The Meteor is more advanced then AIM-120C-5 but still inferior to the AIM-120C-7 and AIM-120D. Now the Rafale has AESA standard whereas AESA is non-standard for Typhoons as only 2 of 9 operators have ordered it Both the Optronique secteur frontal and EuroFIRST PIRATE are very advanced IRST systems same goes for the Praetorian DASS and Spectra very advanced defensive suites. Now the Typhoon ability to use any ones technology comes into play with targeting pods The Thales has admitted that the Damocles pod cant compete with the SNIPER or LITENING pods The reason for that is the US military. The US heavily invested in targeting pods and constantly provides millions for upgrades for SNIPER and LITENING whereas Thales struggles to get funding. Even Thales new TALIOS was passed over for the SNIPER for French made Mirage-2000 Both planes struggle with upgrades but Rafale using mainly french weapons has hurt it greatly on the market whereas the Typhoons lack of upgrades has hurt it The Rafale claims 1150 combat radius to the Typhoon 750 mile range but once again the Typhoon superior weapon capability comes into play The Typhoon can carry weapons like SDB, SPEAR 3 and Brimstone. Lightweight weapons that can do the same job as 500lbs but with little collateral damage The Rafale relies on the AASM which it can carry 6 at time wherea Typhoon can carry 12 plus SDB, SPEAR 3 and Brimstone That and many other reasons is why the Typhoon is better

  3.  @EEEEEEE354  The AIM-132 can not do the same The F-35s DAS allow it to perform 360 OBS with much more ease but other planes with HMD can do 360 OBS The Israeli made Python 5 is 360 OBS. It relies on HMD vice DAS DAS just makes it easier where HMD requires a little work

While IR can be used against stealth, trying to pick an IR signature at long range is extremely hard to do unless know where the target is The F-35 ASQ-239 is based on the F-22 ALR-94. The F-22 ALR-94 can track targets up 250 miles away by electronic emission. The F-35 ASQ-39 does the same. The Rafale's SPECTRA emissions can be tracked by an F-35. Secondly the F-35 is not going to fire on the Rafale head on, its going work its way into firing position and engage from behind Secondly the AIM-120 series and AIM-9 are combat proven systems whereas the MICA and Meteor are not big difference

That would be false lets recap In 50 years ,the US military has lost 3 flag offcers Admiral Robinson in 1972 in Nam General Maude at the Pentagon in 2001 9/11 attack General Green in Afghn in 2014 In the last 3 weeks Russia has lost 5 General Myatt led the spearhead in 91, General's Petraus ,Dunford , Austin and Mathis are all flag officers that have lead their troops from the front So what does that say about the Russian military protecting its officers ? Lets use the KA-52 and Apache The Apache has 3 key features that frankly would be saving the KA-52s ass right now in Ukraine The first is the longbow system. The Longbow is mounted on mast which allows the Apache to simply take peak at target without having to unmask The KA-52s radar is in nose, so it has to fully unmask The Apache can view real time imagery from any UAV. Thats from MQ-9 reapers to hand held RQ-11 ravens The KA-52 can't do that Last it the AGM-114L a, Brimstone and AGM-179 all 3 of those missiles have lock on to its target after launch capability which mean they can be fired in the blind but most importantly, they can be fired without the Apache being in line of sight of the target They can lob missiles over hills to target which goes back to UAV linking allow them fire on the enemy who wouldnt have the slightest clue as to who or what was attacking still the KA-52 can do none of the above They are getting ate to fuck by MANPADs As far the Russia bear goes its performance in the Ukraine clearly says myth

The Mi-24 does it all and its existence is why the Mi-28 and KA-52 procurement numbers are so low What hurting the KA-52 is lack of precision weapons, over 60 plus have been lost in Ukraine and losses only dropped off when they started using the LMUR People about the AH-64 in Iraq and Afghan but lesson from those conflicts is why the Apache wouldnt have KA-52 or MI-28 problems in Ukraine AH-64E critical feature is that is can view real time imagery from UAVs allowing the gunner to scout the area without engaging the aircraft but most importantly is the Hellfire was upgraded with anti-personnel variants allow them to engage troops on the ground far more effectively without the need for run and gun tactics

Secondly the F-15E can use the AIM-9X for full 360 off boresight capability with the JHMCS whereas the Su-35 is limited to 74 off boresight with the R-74. The newest R-74 with higher OBS is designed solely for the Su-57 However the F-15E strike design rolls its TWR from 1.15 to 0.92 whereas the Su-35 can achieve better than 1.10 with its TVC so the F-15E is at disadvantage in WVR so it need to keep its distance. The AIM-9X can defeat the Su-35 in WVR but F-15E can't stay in turning fight with Su-35 for too long the longer it stays, the worst it gets for it
