  5.  @yaroslavishutko816  The US position with ATACMS never mind any sense The last time the US used the ATACMS was 2003 Secondly, when the US kicks in the door, it was TLAM and CALCM With CALCM retired, its TLAM and JASSM The ATACMS gives the US ready fire in certain situations but its highly unlikely they would ever be used as the US has far more capable weapons The whole PrSm was to address ATACMS short comings Even now ATACMS still doesnt make sense What the US should done is contract Boeing to make Harpoon coastal defense units with Harpoon Block II+ ER for Ukraine which carry 4 missiles vs 2 on M270 and 1 on HIMARS The Harpoon Block II+ ER can attack both land and sea targets up 190 miles 4 times the striking power but with the same mobility but also able to target ships at sea

  7.  @thevoxdeus  yeah they dont need it lets recap how badly things will go once F-16s are operational First while Ukraine got lucky and KOed to Russian ships in port, the F-16 can carry 2 Harpoon ASM and allow the Ukrainian air force to hunt the Black Sea Fleet at sea. Air launched Harpoons can be launched from over 100 miles while Russia frigates defenses max out at 31 miles Only the Moskva could have stopped F-16s from attacking To protect Russian shipping, aircraft would have to be n in Crimea, However the US is providing ATACMS which means Crimea just become a massive target While MIG-29 and Su-27 can only uses AGM-88 and JDAMs at fraction of capability F-16s can fully use them plus they can use Laser guided bombs and maverick missiles Once again, Russian forces will have commit aircraft which again works for Ukraine
