No, the AIM-120D range 86 miles The newer AIM-120D-3 range closer to 120 miles The problem with the AIM-120 and AIM-54 wasnt its range but its warhead The AIM-120 carries 44lbs which enough for all aircraft and some missiles The AIM-54 carried 133lbs which was more than enough for any target The AIM-7 carried 88lbs warhead but its range was only 40 miles Hence why the AIM-174 was developed It has everything the USN needs Range over 150 miles , advanced seeker as well as reception with the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) but most important 140lbs warhead usable against any target it does weight 1800lbs slightly less than a cruise missile but I fully expect the USN to reduce its weight while improving its range and capabilities so it can used used the F-35C as well as the FA/XX The USAF may eye for the F-15EX II as a deterrent for Russian Tu-160, Tu-22 and Tu-95 as well Chinese Xian-6s

  5.  @MostlyPennyCat  No The most important weapon is the AGM-88 by far The F-16 can fully use the AGM-88 which means EW suites and everything short of S-300, S-400 and Buk-M3 can be easily targeted The US can do Ukraine a real solid by providing JASSM-A baseline, JSOW, MAVERICK, and AGM-84. While France and the UK have a limited stock of Storm Shadow/SCALP, Uncle sam had 2000 JASSMs in 2016 Fairly sure they can part with 200-300. The JSOW can submunitions. The MAVERICK is great for all target and lasting the AGM-84 would allow Ukraine to hunt the Russian navy in deep water

  7. However Russia looks it , its still bad news for them Russia's saving grace was that Ukraine air force was basically useless even with upgrades with western tech The F-16's nightmare for Russia is that it can fully use the AGM-88s to max capability as well as other western weapons
