There is no need for head on engagements Example, F-35s simultaneously strike air defense, air field runway, AWACS and tankers while cruise missiles are enroute With the runway out of commission, the planes on the ground are dead when missiles arrive without AWACS and air defense radars, the enemy planes in the air have no eyes to coordinate their counter attack With interception and CAS, its the same, different tactics to achieve the same result with minimal effort The A-10 can gun run which is cool but not efficient The F-35 can use 1 missile to do the job

  2. MAWS and RWRs would still detect the missile once its go close to target. Stealth is effective a longer range but under 10 miles, MAWS and RWRs would detect it
