Bell 360 Invictus design was also being as the AH-64F The addition of TAD/PVS. a newer radar and other changes would have given the Army newer and slicker Apache at lower cost in both programs The USAF pausing the NGAD is smarter because they can carry off the USN FA/XX program and reduce overall cost

  5.  @hertzwave8001  They need to learn their lesson from the DDG-1000, LCS and Constellation class messes and be more efficient with their design and planning There are so much that Flight II of the DDG-1000 they could get right If they lengthen it by a few feet. They could up the missile capacity similar to Ticonderoga class or higher and completely over match China's Type-055 and Russia;s Kirov, Lider and Super Gorshkov Thats the thinking they are missing. Make ships that are par not completely over matching the adversary capabilities
