I wont say same conditions Russia is just not stupid in this case Ukraine currently has Patriot, IRIS-T ,NASAMS, SAMPT All those radars are designed to be Network Centric so they transmit data in real time Even if the radar is hit, the command truck can still transmit the data from the attack back to HQ With integrated air defence system (IADS) , they get the data in real time That real time ability is how Ukraine gunners were able to gain a profile on Kinzhal so quickly as well down other aircraft The Su-34 and Su-35 are supposed to be protected by the Khibiny against missile attack yet 7 Su-35 and nearly 30 Su-34s blown out of the sky and counting as well as the lost of A-50s and Il-22, basically everything going horrible wrong with Russian air power over Ukraine they kinda have no choice The US military ironically thanks to heavy losses from Russian SAMS takes SEAD very very seriously They have EA-18G. EC-130. E/A-37 , F-16CJ ,RC-135, Rivet Joint/Combat Sent and virtually all strike aircraft except the F-15 can use the AGM-88 Even B-1 and B-52 can carry ADM-141 and ADM-160s decoys to support SEAD Russia on the other , doesnt think SEAD seriously and they have paid dearly

  3.  @korana6308  The critical difference is that Russia has boasted about the superiority of its air defense yet Ukraine nearly destroyed their best aircraft The US lost an F-117 but at least it went out in combat not sitting on the ground Repairing Su-57 wont be cheap and now there is word that 2 planes may have been hit insult to injury

Here's the rub, the Su-57 was massively delayed due to numerous technical problems Russia had plans for hundreds was continuously revised downwards as the project was hit with delay after delay The ones that being made are not even the ones they wanted , they basically the scapegoat variants made to save the project from being cancelled out right as well as to save face Russia wont get a high capable variant till the Su-57M enters production These early models will likely be trainers for the most part

  5.  @ChucksSEADnDEAD  Exactly By knocking out long range radars, SAMs sites , airfields ,command/control bunkers as well using ADM-141 decoys The US made a massive hole in Iraq defenses allow the F-117 ample room operate Russia can't do that in Ukraine with their lack of commitment to SEAD

  7.  @zidniafifamani2378  Actually , that is the true cost of these Su-57s The Su-57M will be 100-150 mil but these are early model Su-57s which are much cheaper for several reasons First, they dont have the Izdeliye 30 engine, they are flying with AL-41F1 (117) which is a modded AL-31. The Izdeliye 30 AL-51 is completely new engine for the Su-57 Second , they use Su-35 Baguet avionics as the SU-57 IMA BK was still being written. Lastly, the N036 Byelka radar deliveries were also late among several other issues Thats why Su-57s order was curbed from 200-300 to just 76s. These early models will be cheap trainers as they lack so much Once the Su-57M passes its test and is accepted , you will see a massive order for them

The F-35 helmet is the HUD More the point, F-35 pilots dont have to fly with night-vision goggles (NVG) at night as that is also built into the helmet. Lastly, the F-35 is designed to allow the pilot view images from both the AN/AAQ-37/40
