  1. Very true, Hitler had tools but not tactical know how. The V1s and V2 were used against Europe but never against Russian, ???  that and hitler  wasting resources personal vendettas like Stalingrad, killing Rommel Japan was the same way, they had tools but not the tactical know how. Japan wanted to draw the US into a battleship to battleship showdown but that never happened because they attacked pearl harbor as well destroyed a british battleship which showed the US the age of the big guns was over, if they had declared war instead, they would have gotten their fight. One of the factors about pearl harbor was that US ship yards switched from battleships to carriers. one silly thing that US did was building its ships to fit through the panama canal ?? I say silly because seriously, just their is shipyard for east coast fleet make one for pac. silly because carriers and BB were limited by that mess long story short, there were mistakes on both sides of the fence but the AXIS seemed to make the worst ones
