Simple This is already built and available and in production Sure the UK could build its own but the bean counters would ask why build when you can buy

@Brae2468 The UK tried that before and paid dearly The Type-45 was offered both the MK-41 VLS as well the proven LM-2500 which were simple ,easy and available Note that after that nightmare , the Type-26 uses the MK-41 VLS as well as the proven MT-30 Dont why the MT-30 wasnt offered back then but point the UK tried "other" solution and that didnt work How long was the Challenger 2 held up before they finally bit the bullet and team up with Rheinmetall

@Brae2468 Now the smart play which they wont do is the Foxhound The UK is currently looking at the buying 2700 US JTLV The smart would be for them to adopt the Foxhound to meet the requirements set for the JTLV so instead buying the JTLV from the US, they buy a UK made variant made in the UK of it The US did the same thing with the MRAP and JTLV They adopted the MRAP to meet the JTLV requirements Again the smart play which should be sounding off in someone's head in the UK is why can the Foxhound do the same
