  1.  @AtlantiansGaming  The LCS problems and Zumwalt are too different animals The LCS problem was that the USN should decided long long ago that Freedom class would fill the role for LCS while the Independence class would be redesigned for the FFG role Congress thought they need better than USN and hence why the Zumwalt ended being wasted The USN's only screw ups was One- not use the NATO standard 155mm round, they used their own 155mm design which doomed the AGS Two, the design of the Zumwalt has no provision for CIWS

  2. What happened was stupidity The USN told Congress repeatedly that Naval gunfire was no relevant in large scale engagements but Congress in their infinite stupidity knew better and the USN ended wasting the Zumwalt design
