There would be a lot of large scale engagements in the air ,sea and land but Russia's short comings would become apparent very quickly If Russia left a 40 mile convoy in front of NATO NATO would smoke said convoy in a matter of minutes not hours ,minutes The said convoy was at least 900 vehicles The F-15E can carry 12X CBU-104 or 15x JDAM or 28xGBU-53s The Eurofighter can carry 18x Brimstone The F-35 can carry 24x GBU-53s in non-stealth The F-16 can carry up 8x GBU-39s So EA-18Gs and F-18s performing SEAD to knock out convoy's defenses with F-22s providing top cover 30 planes for convoy, 8 for SEAD and 12 for CAP is all NATO would need

  2. Its actually a major problem Russia's main advantage over Ukraine has been the poor quality of Ukraine equipment. As Ukraine and Russia fell out a long time ago, Ukraine hasn't been able to replace its Soviet era weapons. The few weapons Ukraine has were no match for Russian forces ,however the influx of superior western weapons has allowed Ukraine to hold the line Remember when Russia had that 40KM cluster fuck outside Kyiv, the Ukraine forces could do nothing but chip away it Ukraine is getting better weapons with long range but most importantly precision capability If Ukraine had the 12 Pzh-2000 with Excalibur ammunition plus M270 and HIMARS with M31 rockiets when that Russian convoy was outside of Kyiv, They would have been to completely destroy the convoy Same with the attack of Russian ships docked port M31 would have been able to sink the ships Influx of longer range weapons means that Ukraine can strike more effectively Special forces use Loitering munitions to knock out the target defenses ,then act as spotter for artillery fire allow Ukraine forces to do more than just chip away they can actually do complete asset denial
