You are 12th, between Spain and South Korea, with a GDP of 1.8 trillion dollars and falling, because your currency has weakened considerably in recent years, from 30 rubles to the dollar in 2014, to 90 now, making imported products and foreign holidays awfully expensive for everyday Russians, and adding inflationary pressures to the economy. There was an upside when you could sell to us and get Euros or dollars, but those days are gone.

It stated that russia/ussr could be normalised through having normal trade relations, and the more isolated russia was the more trade had to be intensified, hence nord stream 2.
