@ЭдуардД-ъ7о yes: many ukranians do; 29% are L1 Russian speakers to be exact, including their president. Its nothing unusual of course. 70% of Welsh people are L1 English speakers. Language and nationality are not necessarily the same thing.

@jaspal201 desiring freedom is not naive. It is essential for the security and prosperity of the citizenry.
4
@СергейМонин-д7с you're russian. I checked your other contributions. I know lying comes very easily to you, but uou shouldn't pretend to be African.
3
Because you are all jealous of the west. Its called resentment, and Russia is full of it too.
2
@andriibakhtiozin4477 it's not a coincidence. They are listed as far-right. Wagner's wife was a big nazi fan. She used to invite hitler to the family home in Bayreuth to meet important people, to help his rise to power. I wonder if they attack Bakhmut because it sounds a bit like Bayreyth.
2
@improvisedsurvival5967 Russia failed to take Kyiv because the ukranians held 2 artillery brigades in the city. In the critical battle for irpin and hostomel Town they consequently had artillery superiority. At sumy the territorial militias fought so well, the Russians thought the ukranians had regular troops in the city and gave up trying to take it. Pure ukranian courage and the clever use of their artillery saved them early on in the war.
2
@javieryokozuna930 these great ukranian soldiers. These are the guys who stopped hitler while the Russians were drunk on vodka.
2
@@cu6upckuu480 Germans don't say heil deutschland. They used to say es lebt deutschland (germany lives). Facts matter.
2
@josephkush1032 I wonder which TV showed this nonsense. Solyvov? Yes.
2
@internetw4nk3r74 it wasn't the Russians, it was the soviet armies, including the ukranians, who were regarded by the Germans as the best soviet troops. Napoleon's grand army died mostly in a typhoid epedemic in summer 1812. With only 25% of their original army they won the battle of borodino. Pretty amazing performance there. They continued dying if disease and cold. The tsarist army didn't do very much, except retreat.
2
They are, due to neglect. All the money goes to the military.
2
@zakariyeyahye5566 they are, except russia attacked the sovereign territory of a UN member again, Ukraine, who consequently have the right to invoke article 51, which gives the defender the right to call for assistance, military, sanctions etc. Countries including the US answered that call for assistance. Russia was pretty stupid to do that, because ukraine was bound to invoke article 51, and the free world was bound to be concerned by russia's aggression.
2
My fear is that we take this resilience for granted. They need heavy weaponry or they will be the heroic losers.
2
They deny Europe's existence anyway. They are taught there is no such thing as Europe, and that it is all Eurasia, and that they are its natural master, Europe itself being merely a collection of American vassal states, not a real culture in its own right. They see themselves as the heirs of the ancient Greeks, the Spartans not the democratic Athenians we venerate, and of the Roman Empire, calling themselves the third Rome. History is easy when you believe all that. It also explains why they see the Crimea as Russian. It has strong historical connections with ancient Greece and the Eastern Roman Empire, so for them it is very symbolic, although the history itself is empirically dubious and wrapped in myth.
2
Thus is why Ukranians are ready to join with Europe and Russia will remain backward. Ukranians take responsibility for their actions.
2
@improvisedsurvival5967 it's called taking responsibility, a quality alien to russians
2
@RandomGuy9 they do like a crazy dictator.
2
And get killed. Machine guns are quite dangerous. The British tried the same tactics on the Somme. 20,000 died on the first day of the attack. Thst the Russian generals don't learn from history does not surprise me. Russians are really bad at history.
1
Try russiya 1. Simonyan said they would win in 2 days. She's a fantastic journalist.
1
They can't think of a better plan than trying to bleed ukraine white through massed assaults at a single point, Bakhmut. Germany tried the same tactic in 1916 at Verdun. It failed and general Falkenheim was fired. Then they tried small unit tactics. It failed and they lost the war. Russia has moved to small unit tactics now. Defeat will follow as sure as night follows day, after their last desperate offensive fails next spring, like the Germans tried in 1918. Then the allies got tanks in numbers and pushed them out of France. This will happen in ukraine. History repeats itself.
1
@СергейМонин-д7с to he on the defensive in trench warfare is a great advantage. Expect another mobilisation wave in Russia. They are all dying at Bakhmut.
1
@Realist369 BS Orc. I saw the picture. They made it blurred to create that image. There was no swastika. Your lies should make you feel shame, but you are subhuman.
1
@Realist369 your English is terrible for a Briton. Maybe that explains your views.
1
@oconnor6456 strange. 8 million ukranians died at hitler's hands, and Ukranians made up a third of red army forces.
1
@improvisedsurvival5967 the russian crazy men can say and sign what theylike. Nobody cares. It's sovereign ukranian territory. Russia doesn't make the rules.
1
@pindot787 hitler and stalin were about as evil as each other, except hitler didn't murder millions of his own people. The ukranians, and russians, had a good reason to hate stalin. He was a psychopath. He killed 9 million russians or so.
1
If I were ukraine, I would want to be fighting an army which was rapidly breaking up into little armies run by lunatics, who cared more about their own political ambitions than helping the army win the war.
1
@Realist369 if you're English you should stop watching RT. It's turned you into a weirdo.
1
@Anonymous-qj3sf and 30% were ukranians. And stalingrad was a soviet city.
1
@Anonymous-qj3sf you do know that Russia didn't exist in 1942. It was the union of soviet socialist republics. Russia became a sovereign nation in 1991, at the same time ukraine did.
1
@Realist369 they sent the troops in with 3 days of supplies and dress uniforms. The instructions found on dead Russisn officers were to seize Kyiv in 24 hours. Go figure it for yourself. Or just Google it.
1
@valentinaivanova7271 he's a criminal who ran a prostitution ring and went to prison for armed robbery. Hes a friend of putin too. You do know that Russia is run by organised crime, don't you?
1
It's good that they have credibility. They are a mercenary group, not regular forces, not very efficient either, just sadistic towards prisoners
1
It is Verdun. Russia is trying to bleed the UAF white at one point. The only problem is that, like the Germans, they forget that the attacker suffers greater losses in trench warfare. The general responsible was fired.
1
@franzhairilvonhipper1919 On the Somme, the German losses did equal allied losses, but only because Prince Rubrecht insisted on retaking lost ground. The attacker was at a real disadvantage in world war one. Today, well, it is dangerous for infantry to move without IFVs etc due to shrapnel, so I personally wouldn't like to cross open land between the lines.
1
The ukranians get both.
1
Says the guy who can't take it after six months of trying.
1
But Mr putin enjoys violence.
1
And the amazing Ukranians too.
1
@kapra5643 long may they be easy targets for the himars.
1
Somebody has to, because it in a disastrous war that it cannot win with a leader who cannot stop the war because he will be killed if he does. Si hundreds of thousands will die, the economy will be critically weakened, and Russia will become a vassal state of China, and all hope of becoming a modern European country will be gone forever.
1
@baroneleve1196 slow? They've been attacking it for months, and there's a river running through the city, which they haven't crossed yet. Futile.
1
@baroneleve1196 quick gains? The ukranians took izyum and kupiansk in two days. These bums have been trying to take bakhmut since the summer.
1
That's what they said in February, and that was a ffffing disaster.
1
You are the bravest of all here. My complete respect to you.
1
@KayAteChef he denies the existence of Ukraine, let him deny the existence of Europe too. It won't stop either existing.
1
Are you requesting organs for your half dead soldiers.
1
You don't have to thank anyone. It is the free world which should thank you.
1
@andreyivanovic3085 interest is plural, but since you will never be able to afford to visit the English speaking world, it's not so important that your English is rubbish. It's a very mild winter here in Europe. Shame!
1
@bobzherunkle3092 article 51 un charter. A country which has been attacked has the right to request sanctions and military support. Ukraine has thst right too as a UN member. Slava ukraina!
1
@purple0-12 your prophet was a drug addict and your judgement is terrible. Slava ukraina!
1
@jcsixties422 the sensible world lkes hitler. Did you really say that? Jesus.
1
No, they took aleppo. Bakhmut will never fall
