Donetsk voted 6 to 1 for independence from Russia, so Russia started an insurgency. Nobody wants to be in that awful country.

It will result in Russia being cut off from advancement for another couple of generations. Anyone who saw east Germany in 1991 knows what happens to countries which are cut off. They fall behind, and in russia's case, make desperate decisions to catch up, which only make the gap greater, and the resentment worse, and do the vicious circle continues, but it is russia which always ultimately loses, and intekligent russians know this, and are emigrating.
