  4. You do see how they view other governments. Some anti-india reports started being aired after modi said to putin this is not the age of imperial wars.

  5. It shows how the russian government thinks it can sow dissent in the west, not its own view. The media side (RT, troll farms etc) tries to cause hostility toward ukranian refugees in Western countries while the military arm of the Russian state is trying to create those refugees.

  7. They tap into the prevailing culture wars, to a) make them worse, and b) appeal to one side, so they can sell their anti-democratic message to them. and c) make people not want to help ukraine.
