Germany had 20 divisions defending the west, no armor at all. France was regarded as the strongest army in Europe. It had 90 divisions, including more tanks than Germany had, even though they were all attacking Poland.

  8. I've always suspected, that there are commercial interests deeply embedded in some key western governments, whose preferred option is to return to the pre-war arrangements, and to be able to say, we tried, but, alas, it didn't work out.
