  43. Crimea is being and has been ethnically cleansed. In 1801 it was 96% Tatar, by 1925 it was down to 25%. After Stalin's ethnic cleansing in 1944 it was 0%. It recovered slightly after independence in 1991, but since 2014 it has fallen again, as a result of deliberate Russification of Crimea. Don't you just love facts.
