  3. He wants a secure and lasting peace, not a settlement which gives Russia a springboard to annex the rest of Ukraine a year or two down the line, but if you want to believe Russia has peaceful intentions, that's your democratic right.

  6. Independence wars are generally quite successful, actually. The US war of independence being a fine example of a weaker nation successfully fighting off a large nation with ghe help of other large nations. Dont get the champagne out quite yet.

  7. Crimea is being and has been ethnically cleansed. In 1801 it was 96% Tatar, by 1925 it was down to 25%. After Stalin's ethnic cleansing in 1944 it was 0%. It recovered slightly after independence in 1991, but since 2014 it has fallen again, as a result of deliberate Russification of Crimea. Don't you just love facts.

  8. Inward migration is an issue, it demands more housing and public services to be created, but it is the result of being successful as a country. If people want to come to you, uou are doing something right. We Europeans should also see it for what it is, proof that we are a better place for people to live than anywhere else, so the solution is simple. We should protect those who are trying to develop as we have.
