  1.  @mickser101  They don't have them. They had to recruit prisoners, and then release rapists and murderers back into society. They do have lots of untrained people to put into a 21st century war against a western trained military. And so Russia has three times as many dead as in nine years in Afghanistan, a war they lost.

  4. China is very vulnerable to sanctions. It relies on trade with the west.

  5. Permanent war suits Putin very well. Russians who oppose him are easily cast as traitors in a media landscape in which he totally controls the journalists.
