  1. In fairness to the French Revolution, 5,000 people were guillotined in the Terror. In the Red Terror of Stalin 900,000 people were executed. With regard to our revolution, 2% of the male population was killed. 15,000 died in the Spanish Inquisition, not nice, but less than one might think. Something propagandistic about it all.

  2. Denouncing is not a feature of the left, rather a feature of states which define patriotism as completely loyalty to the state itself, which includes fascistic societies such as modern Russia.
