 @VictorLaszlo-iz3il couldn't fight both at once. There was a moral case for dealing with the ussr after germany had been defeated, but people had had enough of war.

 @reticulan5 Poland was also created by the allies. It was larger than the Poland of 1785 which had been partitioned by Russia, Prussia and Austria.
