That's how fascists operate; they create outgroups, and then blame them for everything. It gives people in their "in-group" a cosy sense of belonging, and someone to blame for their miserable existences, in a society whose dominant values place blame on the individual, them.

Leave George alone. Progressive Jews are cool.
1
Support for rejoining the EU was around 61% before this kicked off. It must be 75% now.
1
Keith Joseph admitted government economic policy from 1979 to 1981 (monetarism) had been a failure, and they abandoned it.
1
Laura UK they want to suppress the vote, and they will fix the boundaries. Is that democracy?
1
@mozartsbumbumsrus7750 I don't see the leftwing fascists anywhere, which isn't surprising because it's an ultra nationalistic creed, which rather leaves the left out.
1
Optics influence voters a lot, every politician knows this.
1
21 percent still support them. Would government enforced euthanasia move the numbers?
1
Why is Sunak angry? He broke the covid rules himself. He doesn't care about rules either.

The red wall voters are anti-European.
1
@Maria7Maria that surprised me. I thought they had more sense.
1
Either they don't understand the seriousness of the consequences at all, or they are financially secure and don't care about anyone else.
1
The Minsk protests and the true election result say otherwise.

Agree; I would have asked them what their advice would have been to Neville Chamberlain at Munich, and how they regard Russia's position on LGBTQ and workers' rights (Russian workers have the lowest employment protection and face the highest income inequality in Europe, and LGTBQ people are fleeing the country btw.)
1
If they reverse the voter suppression and anti-right to protest laws, it will be worth it. I want to live in a democracy.
1
They're everywhere on social media. It was better when you coukdn't state uour opinion anonymously. There was less of it.
1

As a defense against the USSR and now an aggressive Russia, and China.
1
@jiridrapal7512 True, if they attack her, but they want to defend their borders against her and have never attacked Russia.
1
@jiridrapal7512 we weren't defending ourselves. We were ridding the world of an aggressive actor who launched 2 wars of aggression against Iran and Kuwait. I think it was unwise to do it because it allows guys like Putin to engage in whataboutism.
1

1
@goblinwisdom Cameron won in 2010, and yes, no other European government chose austerity. It was an evil act.
1
It was a misguided policy because the terrorists were using Pakistan as a safe haven.
1
No.
1
Yes, and there is nobody left to fight it, just a paralyzed leaderless Europe, which is more concerned about its energy bills.
