  31. Populism means offering one policy to solve the problems. An example is Brexit. Another example is to stop immigration. Populism has to create enemies to function. That's why people like Farage make it all sound so easy, but it doesn't work of course. It just makes matters worse.

Like most people in the UK there's a bit of the humanist in me, and I'm not comfortable with the idea that people are just the playthings of invisible forces. Generations before us fought bravely for the rights we have, and it denies their sacrifice.
