Germany has lived very well from my country keeping the trade routes open, and it safe on a miniscule 40 billion dollar defense budget for a quarter of a century.

Like in 1934 you mean?

And who will pay for your national security, or do you intend to feed Russia with the smaller nations of Europe in the hope, that it won't eat you?
3
@d.b.2215 that is Germany's choice. Nobody forces Germany to be either in nato or the eu. France left nato once, austria and switzerland never joined it. Up to you.
3
@TheUllur Germany does actually have a military base in the US, Holloman Airforce Base in New Mexico.
3
@vladthepistol3974 nato isn't a country. The European countries which border Russia have all applied to join nato due to fesr of Russian expansionism, most recently Finland. Ukraine and Georgia were vetoed by Germany and France in 2008, so are non-members. Following their failure to secure nato protevtion, they have been invaded by Russia, and have both lost 20% of their territory to Russia.
3
Vassal, give it a break. There was a trade war between the EU and the US a few years back.
2
@UAVTVideoTeam-qi3pj Actually, we are free. And the US supports that.

Germany isn't a natural democracy like northern Europe. It emerged from militaristic Prussia, and had to be "liberated" to become a modern liberal democracy. It does not surprise me, that many people there admire dictators more than democratic nations.

Endangering European security is not common sense. It is extremely reckless.
1
Wandel durch Handel. That went well.
1
@AlexanderSomm you aren't very up on this subject. Perhaps you should comment on gardening on something.
1
@FreeSpace-v9f germany is free to leave nato. De Gaulle did, and switzerland, austria and ireland have never joined it.
1
@thegunner971 no nations are. It is an absurd concept in an interconnected world with a global economy. If you want that, you would be like North Korea.
1
@markojuric4954 Scholz is, alas, a provincial technocrat, cloaked in the robes of state, and they do not fit him.
1
They want their cake and eat it.They want their pensions and economy to function well, but they don't want the labour required to achieve it. Germans aren't having enough children to solve their demographic problems without inward migration, but they don't like foreigners very much. A dilemma indeed.
1
@nakatanakata2665 actually, it was cowardly.
1
@Black_Sun_Dark_Star strengthening the Russian economy didn't work well first time round. A different approach is required.
1
@danielzmau8015 holloman airforce base
