Ukraine and Georgia would like to know the answer to that question, in the face of a militaristic Russia which breaks international treaties for fun.

He needs to read the history of Poland, and then explain to them how he can guarentee their security as a neighbour of a Russia which has attacked them, annexed them, partitioned them, made a satellite out of them, and murdered their entire intelligentsia. He can then explain to the Baltic states, Georgia, Moldova, Rumania, Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia how he intends to guarentee their security without NATO membership. Turkey has had 10 wars with Russia, so he might like to talk to them too about leaving NATO.

  12. He hasn't read the history of Poland and the Baltic States. Poland has been partitioned four times, it ceased to exist between 1795 and 1918, and each time Russia was involved . It was also a soviet satellite state until 30 years ago. The USSR murdered its entire intelligentsia. How will he guarentee Poland's security without it being in NATO? .

Where are the 300,000 US troops who would arrive in Europe in the case of Russian attack meant to go if they don't have bases there, arecthey going to stay in local hotels? .

  22. It's absolutely disingenuous. How does he expect Poland and the other Eastern European states who were former Soviet satellites who had communism imposed on them to be safe from Russian imperial ambitions without being members of a strong alliance? Read thd history of Poland. It is tragic.
