Civic ukranian nationalism is the order of the day there, regardless of ethnicity or language, something you wouldn't understand. Lots of good material on the Web on that. If you had looked, you would have realised that the concept of ukranian citizenship has been strengthening year on year since 1991, and accelerated in Donbas after 2014. 2.7% of Donbas residents regard themselves as Russian citizens. I can send you the research if you are interested to read it.

  6. It has, but it is still outgunned. Russia fires 20k to 5k shells a day, for example. The Ukranian army has, in truth, performed remarkably. They enjoyed the reputation of being the best soldiers in the Red Army by the way.
