@Withnail1969 But he preferred Europe, and did his sons.

@BleakVision playing the victim again. It's getting tedious.
11
This might explain why the divorce rate in Russia is 73%, whereas in the UK it's 45%.

The heavy media criticism in the west was the main reason the US pulled out of Vietnam.

The Hague awaits.

There is another Russia. Russia had a democratic constitution till the Bolshevik revolution, a result of massive popular demand going back to the mid nineteenth century. This dream has not died.
2
Erklaeren Sie ihm das. Er wird Ihnen sicherlich vertrauen.
2
They were trading intensively with Germany, and Germany was investing heavily in Russia, state of the art car plants etc. The Germans can't believed what's happened.
2
They filter it before drinking it or using it for cooking.
2
It's the hope which kills you.
2
It was imperialist; Stalin and Breznev practiced Russification.
2
It has the highest social inequality in the developed world, but it's much worse in the main BRICS countries. They do represent something.
2
The good Tsar, it's called.
2
It appeals to an underlying fustration with falling behind the west, and in some cases, fuelled by a genuine belief that Russia is, or should be, a great power, but clearly isn't. They play on this.
1
@qjtvaddict we have average life expectancy of 82 years here in the US.
1
Collectivism has a nasty habit of producing communist and fascist state forms. Lucky for us, that we have individualism.
1
There was a spitting image in Russia, but Putin banned it. They had a good puppet of him.
1
Twisted old men.
1
@JaroslavBrabec-iz5eb The Czechs have accepted the 91 borders.
1
Any country would send troops in to quell an insurgency. Tscechnia, for example. You literally flattened Grozny.
1
@coolcat5798 not true. Ukraine tried to stop FSB inspired insurgents. If you want a bloodbath, check Grozny.
1
Dies ist fuer das russische Publikum gemeint. Wir werden die NATO Erweiterungsgeschichte und Korruption in Ukraine abserviert. Das kommt besser an im Westen.
1
He is indeed an American fascist.
1
If you remove your sunglasses, you will be able to read the subtitles better.
1
@fresagrus4490 you didn't read it. I'm from Germany. Germany produces 400,000 cars a year, machine parts, fridges etc. We built car factories in Russia. They are now making Ladas, which nobody will buy. The investment has now finished. Enjoy your future in the economic wilderness.
1
@bereketdamtew7766 It's not crumbling. Don't get your hopes up. The report answered your question. Arms expenditure from public funds, funded by higher public debt and selling your currency reserves.
1
Ruble was 30 to the dollar in 2014. Its lost 300% of its value since the invasion of Crimea. Growth is driven by high state spending from borrowing. It's not drivem by increased productivity or higher export income. It is inflationary.
1
It didn't happen in the 90s. The west stepped in to stabilise the former USSR and was able to manage the nuclesr weapons issue.
1
@apurvd6177 It exists, because many countries, including China, rely on it for international trade.
1
@lucatoni4509 we spend 60% on benefits, inwork, unemployment, child related etc and pensions, 25% on public services, 10% on internal and national security ( police and military), and 5% on servicing the national debt.
1
@SteelPorcupine Putin is mobilising youth. There is a million strong youth army and schools practice indoctrination..
1
@alexanderr.5066 a bbc documentary in 2010 said putin's Russia was neo-fascist.
1
Not the goal, not the right century even. Europe has abandoned a colonial model, and instead focuses on intra-national co-operation and growing its own markets through free trade among its states. Russia is still pursuing colonial goals and clashing with the new systems.
1
Nobody cares about you.
1
Freak show.
1
Nobody listens to these stupid threats.
1
@deadchannelxd0420 nobody trusts your state's statistics because hundreds of your journalists had accidents with windows and your government closed down 1200 newspapers.
1
It depends on the security arrangements. Many other former soviet block or tsarist empire countries, now in the EU and NATO, are successful;, Finland, Estonia, Poland and Czechia stand out as modern success stories
1
They're trying too hard. It's a non-story in the UK election. Nobody's arsed by the bla bla.
1
@SuperZardo Does it improve your lives?
1
It's supposed to be.
1
They answer that by denying them agency.
1
Guilty by omission.
1
Enabling Ukraine to develop as a liberal democracy would be a victory. Losing some territory is not such a problem, as modern economies focus on services, and Ukraine has a vibrant high-tech sector. Finland lost 10% of its territory to the USSR., but the remaining 90% became a highly successful nation.
1
The bots are back in town. What a miserable job you have.
1
@user-yk5ed7ws1d pretty much every idea and invention of the past 500 years.
1
Your army is quite multi-culti, with all those Africans, Indians, Nepolese, Cubans and North Koreans. Poor souls attracted by cash. Or sent by an evil dictator. Funny how Russians don't want to fight for their Tsar, except the desperate poor ones.
1
It's a bit naff.
1
Germany built car plants there, and signed lucrative gas contracts with them. It even ignored the Crimea annexation, and built nordstream 2, sk Ukraine wouldn't get any income from the pipeline crossing their territory.
