@martinha2856 actually crimea voted for independence from russia by 57 to 43 percent in a free open referendum conducted by Gorbachev's government in 1991. So much for coming home.

That they call the missile attacks revenge reminds me of nazi Germany calling its rockets which rained down on London in 1944 revenge (vergektung) weapons. They don't seem very self-aware.

@Equa nimity they didn't ban russian, and ethnic rusdians were not the majority population in any of the 4 annexed Oblasts. My source is the 2001 ukranian census. What is yours?
