@111076tom Why are you speculating? Why not just find the facts?
The rail bridge is NOT below the road, it is mostly at the same elevation as the road, but it begins to climb earlier than the road when approaching high portions, so in many places is higher than the road.
You are wrong ("why not just find the facts") about it's military value. It is the MAIN supply route for military equipment into Crimea and Kherson oblasts. There is no rail route along the shore of the Azov Sea ("why not just find the facts"). The rail line goes inland to Melotopol, then heads north towards Tokmak before heading north east into Luhansk oblast.
Crimea does need huge volumes of supplies ("why not just find the facts") as that is where the Russia Black Sea fleet resupplies, and it is also the primary route for supplies into Kherson and parts of Zaporizhzhia as the only other supply route is via Tokmak which is within Ukrainian artillery range (why do I have to point this out again - because you have a closed mind due to Russian BS).
& weeks into the offensive and you would like to see Ukrainian troops destroy themselves on Russian defenses. Unfortunately for Russia, Ukrainians are not that stupid. Speaking of offensives, we're now 26 weeks into the Russian winter offensive - when is it going to even start?
30,000 soldiers KIA. They must be mostly Russian soldiers because Ukraine has lost only a fraction of that number ("why not just find the facts") - expect in Pootin's mind. "Houndreds" of armoured vehicles destroyed, over one "houndred" tanks destroyed - again your are quoting Russian propaganda instead of "finding the facts".
"Why did they end negotiations in Turkey last April?" because there weren't negotiations in Turkey "last April", it was April the year before ("why not just find the facts"). And the reason they ended negotiations was because in April 2022 Ukraine was still loosing to Russian forces and they wanted to cut their losses.
But Boris and others pledged their support and convinced Zelenskyy that he could do better than to cede so much territory to the aggressor. And they were right.
In August 2022 the Ukrainian army brought Russian army advances to a halt. Since that time the Russian army has been unable to make any significant gains in Ukraine. The Russian army has been unable to capture so much as a single Ukrainian city in those 11 months. Over the same period the Ukrainian army has liberated over 13,000sq km of Ukrainian land, including six cities.
That's why.
It sucks to be a Russian troll.

@Imperial_loyalist "Who is ruSSia asking for help from?" Iran, North Korea and Belarus. Russia has also withdrawn men and weaponry from Syria and Armenia.
"ruSSia uses a small part of its soldiers" Not so, ruSSia is short of soldiers. ruSSia has drawn troops from the Finnish and Norwegian borders, from the far east of ruSSia, from Syria, from Armenia, and from the hinterland.
That is why Prigozhin's men were able to drive, almost unhindered, from Rostov to just short of Moscow. ruSSia needs a huge mobilisation (before the elections) if it is to maintain the present frontlines.
And you forget the the ruSSian army has been unable to take any significant land in Ukraine for over twelve months, while the Ukrainian army has liberated huge areas - including over 18,000sq km in Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts - over that same twelve months.
You are just a silly misinformed ruSSian troll.

@glenolsen7888 "I look at the map on this site and yes the ruSSians are moving forward like a few kilometers a day". What, just a few kilometeres !!! Is that the best you can do? Ukrainian troops have been moving 7km a day in Kursk...
But seriously: some days ruSSians achieve a kilometre, some days half a field, most days nothing. But each day they lose hundreds and hundreds of soldiers to artillery, mines, drones, etc. And the ruSSian advances are only local, not "up and down the WHOLE line of contact" as you mistakenly write.
Putin wanted all of Ukraine in a couple of weeks (fail);
Then he wanted all of Donbas by October, 2022 (fail);
Then he wanted all of Donbas by the end of 2022 (fail);
Then he wanted all of Donbas by end of March, 2023 (fail);
Then he wanted just Bakhmut by May 8th, 2023 (fail).
The ruSSian military isn't very good is it.

@hatchxable Of course ruzzia said it was to be a 3 day operation to take Kyiv. The fact that you are useless at research is not our fault (although it is typical of ruzzians to blame everyone else).
It is obvious however that you are getting all your information from ruzzian sources. Take this quote of yours for example "Russia never said anything about a 3 days military operation. The original source of those claims was the US general Mark Milei who predicted the fall of kiev" You're spelling of both Milley and Kyiv is the ruzzian spelling, revealing your sources. ruzzia restricts what you are allowed to see to ensure you only get their version of events.
"it was Boris Johnson who went to Kiev and told Zelenesky not negotiate, fight! You can beat the Russians".
Why are you telling us old news? Of course Boris advised Zelenski to fight. And it was good advice too. At the time Ukraine was on the back foot with ~27% of Ukraine occupied by an a-hole invader. But Boris advised that with western support Ukraine could do better. He was right, the a-hole invaders now only hold ~17% of Ukraine.
So tell me, what do you think fascist ruzzia's conditions would have been for peace back then?
It would, without doubt, have required Ukraine to agree to fascist ruzzia's occupation of Kharkiv, Lyhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts - minimum. Most likely Mykolaiv and Odesa oblasts would have been included in fascist ruzzia's demands too - along with Ukraine agreeing to the international recognition of Crimea as ruzzian.
So you can clearly see that Boris' advice was good advice.
And it was a poke in the eye for the fascist invader - which is why all you ruzzian trolls are bitter about it. I guess it sucks to be a ruzzian troll.

@timparker4160 Oh Tim, you poor deluded troll. I just read your next post and I realise just how deeply you have being tricked by the russian propaganda machine.
Do you really believe that "Russia has barely commited any of it’s military force so far because Pooptin has shown incredible restraint"? Do you not know that Pootin has had to pull troops from the Norwegian and Finnish borders for this war he started? Do you not know he's had to pull troops from Murmansk and Vladivostok. From Syria and Armenia. Pootin has FULLY committed his entire army.
How do you think Wagner got to within 200km of Moscow? There are almost NO russian troops left to guard russia, because they are mostly in Ukraine being defeated.
Do you really believe that "Ukraine loses soldiers at a ratio of 7:1 on a good day and 10:1 on a bad" because it was the other way around at Bakhmut where russia was losing 7:1. Ukraine's advancing troops should be losing at a 3:1 ratio, but very accurate counts (Oryx) of vehicle losses show that russia is losing two vehicles for every one that UKraine loses. That would suggest russian troop losses are 2:1 - however western armoured vehicles are designed to protect their troops, so russian losses are almost certainly even higher.
If your figure of 300,000 lost Ukrainian troops is correct (it isn't) then russia has lost close to 900,000 troops
"Lets just come back here and talk about it in 6 months" - well funny you should say that, because the russian army has been unable to make ANY advances in the last six months, nor the six months before that, so "Yes" I'll happily come back in six months and prove to you that you have been made a fool of, by russian sources.
Purrrrrr. Meow.

@matlav84 Hey Mat, have you not noticed that the Orcs have also "lost lot of they vehicles and mens" on many days.
But you are right, this war IS lost. Russia lost this war when they failed to take Kyiv in the first few weeks.
And Russia has lost on all it's stated objectives:
1) De-militarize Ukkraine. LOST. Ukraine now has more weaponry and more modern weaponry than in February, 2022;
2) De-nazify Ukraine. LOST. You cannot denazify what is not nazified - but if you really want to see a fascist government, look no further than the Kremlin. Adolf would be proud of what Putin has achieved;
3) Keep NATO from Russia border. LOST. Thanks to Pootin's Stupid Military Operation, there are now more NATO countries on Russia's borders (thank-you Sweden and Finland);
4) Protect Russian speakers and ethnic Russians. LOST. 3400 civilians died in Donbas from 2014 to 2021, due to the war - as a result of the military actions of BOTH sides. Since 2022, hundreds of thousands of Russian speakers and ethnic Russians have been injured, maimed or killed in Ukraine as a direct result of Russian shelling and bombing - including tens of thousands of Russian speakers and ethnic Russian civilians killed in Mariupol alone. Russia is killing the people they claimed they would protect.
So Mat, you are right, Russia has lost this war.
Man it sucks to be a Russian troll.

@mclukas44lol25 First there's the Budapest memorandum, of 1994, in which russia recognised the sovereignty and borders of Ukraine. Source: look it up.
Then there's the Partition Treaty on the Status and Conditions of the Black Sea Fleet, of 1997, in which russia not only agrees to the sovereignty and borders of Ukraine, but also agrees not to interfere in the internal affairs of Ukraine (Huh, I wonder why they needed that clause). Again, look it up, it's on the internet.
Then there's the Russo-Ukrainian Friendship Treaty, of 1997, in which russia once again agrees to recognise the sovereignty and borders of Ukraine. Look it up.
Then there's the Agreement of the Azov Sea and the Kerch Strait, of 2003. Again, look it up.
Then there's the russian-Ukrainian State Border Treaty of 2003/04. Look it up.
Then there are the Minsk 1 & 2 Accords of 2014/2015 in which ALL combatants agree to halt hostilities and withdraw.
See how many international treaties russia has broken. russia broke multiple friendship treaties and sent WMD to a state neighbouring NATO.
You can easily see who the aggressor is - unless you are blind.

@rayden1387 What a load of distorted bollocks Ray.
What happened in Yugoslavia is NOT related to what's happening in Ukraine. Not whatsoever. Only in the minds of people clutching at straws to defend the indefensible (that's you).
In 2014 there was an uprising in Ukraine - a coup you call it - a popular uprising by the people of Ukraine - yet you condemn it. A new government was elected that year. A further free and fair election was held in 2019 and there was a peaceful transition of power. There is no way you can claim that the government of Ukraine is not legitimate - except in the minds of people clutching at straws to defend the indefensible (that's you again).
Russia was also subject to a 'coup' but I don't think there has been a free and fair election in Russia/USSR since. Is the Russia government legitimate?
Russia does not, under any circumstance, have the right to defend the oblasts of Donetsk or Luhansk - except in the minds of people clutching at straws to defend the indefensible (you again). And Russia has not done so. They have injured, maimed or killed hundreds of thousands of Russian speakers and ethic Russians in Donbas. They have bombed and shelled many Donbas cities out of existence, killing tens of thousands of Russian speakers and ethic Russians in Mariupol alone. They have emptied the Donbas of menfolk of fighting age and sent them to the front, often ill-equipped, often to die in this pointless war that Russia started. So much for "the right to defend" Donetsk or Luhansk oblasts. Lets kill everyone so they feel defended. You fool.
You think it's funny that most countries of the globe don't recognise the referendum in Crimea - remember that they don't recognise the referenda, nor the annexations, in the four other Ukrainian oblasts either.
I have voted in at least 10 free and fair elections referenda in my own country. What I saw of the refernda held in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts shocked me. I have never seen such blatant coercion. That would immediately invalidate any results.
If Russia had a legitimate issue with the treatment of Russian speakers in Donbas, why didn't it deal with the matter at the UN? Russia is a member of the Security Council after all.
"the precedent is done" you say. Bollocks. So what you are saying is if your neighbor robs your house, then there is a precedent and all your neighbors are then allowed to rob your house. Complete bollocks.
"You cannot invoke the law when it is you who have violated it." It is not me, nor my nation, that has violated. But Russia has, and you are cool with that.
It sucks to be a brainwashed Russian troll.
