And that's a very important factor at this time, due to unreliable US backing.

@РафаэльСаркисянц-ъ2т It would be interesting to "actually see what an Su57 can do" - but, like the wonderful T-14 tank, it appears to be AWOL. Maybe there's something wrong with it...

@РафаэльСаркисянц-ъ2т Do you mean like yourself? You appear to have your strings pulled by the Kremlin.

@johnnydoe3603 Not just one politician. Biden also severely limited Ukraine's ability to fight back, by limiting the supply of weapons, and limiting where the supplied weaponry could be used.

@johnnydoe3603 So both Democrats and Republicans have failed to honor the US's commitments made in Budapest in 1994.

@Thetequilashooter1 "The US wasn’t even an ally of Ukraine when the memorandum was signed. " That makes not a jot of difference. All you are saying is that the word of the US is worthless. Other countries should never trust the US (most don't), and this is the perfect example of why not.

@dan9002 "So, the US who has had Europeans back for 80 years and 2 world wars fighting against European national socialism and communism is untrustworthy?" Correct. The US, which was late to both WW1 and WW2, and signed many security agreements that it is now turning its back on, is unreliable and untrustworthy. But who screamed "article 5" when the US was attacked in 2001.

@williamzk9083 That's untrue Billy.

@tomsmith476 Who says they were supposed to stay neutral? Where is it written? They are a sovereign nation and are allowed to join any alliance they choose.
2
@tomsmith476 If you didn't want to be dragged into a European war, why are you taking the side of russia in a European war?

@johnnydoe3603 So both Democrats and Republicans have failed to honor the US's commitment to the Budapest Memorandum.

@williamzk9083 Bollocks.

@Thetequilashooter1 "The US has no obligation to help at all." How wrong you are. It was the US that persuaded Ukraine to give up its nukes, in return for security guarantees (Budapest, 1994). The US is unreliable.

@Thetequilashooter1 Maybe you have shot too much tequila, to have missed that agreement.

@Thetequilashooter1 I'm sorry, but when you enter an agreement with another country (an agreement which effectively neutered them) you have an obligation to honor that agreement - not to just say "Oh, we didn't expect that to happen" and then walk away. But the US is doing just that. The US is an unreliable partner, and an unreliable ally. As for guarantees, the US is obliged to help by reaffirmation that that none of the weapons of The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and The United States of America will ever be used against Ukraine. The US therefore has an obligation to ensure its partners in the memorandum comply with the memorandum.

@dan9002 Small potatoes compared to the hundreds of billions other countries have spent on US weapons over generations. It's been a two way street, but the US is unreliable and is crying.
