@PerceivedREALITY999 Zelenskyy did not have the chance to prevent this conflict as he was working in television when Russia attacked Ukraine. That's the counter argument to your first sentence. I'm not going to bother working my way through the next 3,000 words of a Russian troll's propaganda.

@guillaumebasque2235 No it's not exactly what happened. If Ukraine had honored the Minsk agreements Russia would have invaded Ukraine in 2014, not 2022. Russia failed to comply with the Minsk agreements. If Russia had complied none of this would have happened.

@timothylee2772 No Timothy. Please stop showing your naivety. Zelenskyy did not have the opportunity to "resolve" the conflict. He had the opportunity to buy off Russia by rewarding their aggression with the permanent secession of 26% of Ukraine (assuming that Russia didn't insist on having Odesa as well). And as we all know, Russia has intentions of further expansion, so it would have been a temporary peace. Aggression should not be rewarded. Zelenskyy did the right thing.

@minoferrer6210 So have the authorities released a report on the Russian bombing of the theatre in Mariupol, where between 300 and 600 mainly women and children were killed? I'm not trying to justify it, but those killed in Odesa were rebels trying to overthrow Ukrainian authorities for the benefit of another country. Those women and children killed in Mariupol were innocent civilians. It seems the Odesa massacre was the lesser of the two atrocities, yet it's the one you Russian trolls alway bring up.

@PerceivedREALITY999 Why should Zelenskyy have honored the Minsk accords in 2019? He'd only just become president. Putin had had 5 years to honor his part of the Minsk accords, but hadn't done so. Why is it that you Russian trolls alway bitch when Ukraine doesn't do something that will give Russia a huge advantage?

@kieranforde3787 I don't know WTF you're talking about. Russian agents infiltrated Ukraine well before 2014 (they probably never left in 1991). In 2014 they invaded Ukraine yes, but not Kyiv (how TF did you misinterpret what I said so badly - I guess you Russian trolls are that dumb).

@PerceivedREALITY999 Russia had five years to honor the Minsk accords before Zelenskyy was elected. They hadn't. It was obvious they had no intention of honoring the accord. And you expect Zelenskyy to immediately withdraw his troops and let Russian forces take the whole country. Zelenskyy isn't as stupid as you appear to be.

Yet no one in the largest city is Zaporizhzhia oblast voted, meaning it was impossible for 93.11% of the oblast's people to have voted. How is it that you have been so sucked in by Russian propaganda that you can't see such simple flaws in their BS?

How can you not see that the evidence suggests the opposite? Here's a fact for you: the Russian army has not taken ANY significant parts of Ukraine since the Ukrainian army halted Russian progress 10 months ago. Another fact: the Russia army has not taken so much as one city since that time. Another fact: Ukraine has liberated over 13,000sq km of its territory, including 6 cities, since that time. Russia is loosing Ukrainian territory.

@PerceivedREALITY999 You are right, sadly many more lives will be lost - thanks to Russian aggression. But many more lives will be lost throughout eastern Europe if Putin is rewarded for his aggression now (by your weasel "peace" talks). The best way to stop the sad loss of lives is for Pootin to pull his troops out of all of Ukraine (we all know where the internationally recognised borders are), and renounce his expansionist policies. And it would be great if he did this now, before he eliminates every last male in Donbas.

@PerceivedREALITY999 You really do have a "perceived", as opposed to "real" sense of reality. You claim that the vote in the referendum in Zaporizhzhia was 93.11% in favour of ceding from Ukraine. The following population centres in Zaporizhzhia oblast were not polled: Zaporizhzhia city (pop 746,000); Vilniansk (14,300); Huliaiploe (12,700); Kushuhum (7,800); Orikhiv (6,000); Novomykolaivka (5,000); Ternuvate (1,200). That is a total of 793,700 people who didn't vote because they were in Ukrainian controlled Ukraine (and excludes many more people living in smaller towns and villages). With ~80% of the population being over 18 and therefore eligible to vote, that means 635,000 residents of Zaporizhzhia oblast were denied the opportunity to vote, while (according to your figures) only 541,093 residents did vote. And only 503,812 voted for ceding. That is a clear minority. With more people being denied the vote, than actually voted, is a voting irregularity that makes the vote invade. But we already know the voting was rigged.

They knew that once Russia had what it wanted (the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas) Russia would rip up the accords, like they ripped up so many other treaties, and fully occupy Donbas. Surely YOU have to be stupid to think Ukraine would be that stupid. I've re-read your original post at the start of this thread, and some of the nonsense you wrote suggests you really are that stupid.

Merkel said Minsk would at least buy Ukraine time to arm itself against further Russian aggression. The others said nothing of the kind. Zelenskyy was working in the entertainment industry and hsd nothing to do with it. So you just keep deluding yourself. You just keep making stuff up if it helps YOU cope.
