  1. I think your bosses in Moscow showed you a wrong video footage. The tank was hit until it went on fire, and then started moving erratically with his turret madly turning until it hit a tree. Only then the crew got out and ran away before the tank exploded. As for sending a single tank into battle, it is a common practice for russian command.
