@laquishdanish3386 Campaign means different things. He knows he won't be the nominee, but if he gets to 25% of the delegate count, we can force a minority report, which the DNC won't want, so that will force them to negotiate.

Me, too. I spent too much time and too much energy fighting for Bernie and his message to give up now. I will vote for the nominee in November, but it is 100% because Iive in a swing state. If I still lived in West Virginia, Biden couldn't use my vote, so he wouldn't get it.

@jonh8488 He didn't mention them by name, but they are called sore loser laws, which prohibit someone from running on the ballot under a different party after being on the primary ballot of another party. All but three states have some version of them. Therefore, it is impossible for Bernie to run as a third party or independent candidate.

@bonbon1956sh 15% is the threshold to win delegates. 25% is the threshold to be able to force a minority report. Since the party wants to show a display of unity, that is something they desperately want to avoid, which gives leverage for serious concessions.

@prstudios3256 People also seem to forget that all but three states have sore loser laws, so he can't appear on the ballot under a different party label.

@ChooseCompassion Google sore loser laws. All but three states have them, so he can't run in any states that do.

@Nick Arjomand "your not stupid"? Here's a hint: if you are talking about stupidity, your os a possessive pronoun, and you're is a contraction for you are.

@Nick Arjomand Yeah, he's not that moderate. In 1972, he said it himself: "Except for civil rights, I'm a conservative," but two years later, he was working with segregationists to oppose integration, something he even defended last year by using the states rights argument. He is a right winger by instinct. The mere fact that he threatened to veto Medicare for All (something even Hillary didn't do) shows that he is taking the left for granted. And that is how we lose. Hint: picking Elizabeth Warren to try to pacify the left won't work, because we know what a fake she is.

@Nick Arjomand You only like him because you think he can win. That doesn't answer Amy's question. What about his politics or his character do you actually like?
