@audiosane4214 The fact that Biden was able to wrap things up so quickly shows that we don't have the infrastructure yet to mount a successful nomination. Quite frankly, at this point, I worry that some of the establishment would have done to him what the Labour establishment did to Corbyn. People need to run for not just Congress, but city and county Democratic committees, school boards, city council, and state legislature to build that farm system.

Ilansini Shoresh Biden already has sufficient pledged delegates to win the nomination. Even if Biden were to have a stroke tomorrow, his delegates become free agents, and I guarantee that they are not people willing to go for Bernie.

@maxsmart645 Sadly, if Biden drops out, those delegates become unpledged. I just don't see how we can convince half of them to vote for Bernie to put him over the top.

@maxsmart645 Biden voters, yes, but not Biden delegates. I saw the lists when I got my primary ballot. Every Biden delegate running was a total establishment creature. I'm guessing that isn't an anomaly based on what I have long observed in party politics.

Ilansini Shoresh Any political party can only do what its members allow. Far too many have been complacent. Perhaps it was Bernie's role to be a Moses and show people the way. Now, we need to get the reinforcements ready so our Joshua can win.
