  2.  @sps000111  Was there an airborne global pandemic throughout the history of the human race? Funny how places like New Zealand and South Korea listened to theirs and were able to get back to normal with fewer deaths than we were, and even though Japan botched the vaccine rollout, because of earlier precautions they took, they still have a death rate in the population of one per 10,000 Japanese while we have a rate of one per 542 Americans. This is for the total population for both.

  3.  @sps000111  I will make it as simple as possible. Here are the numbers for South Korea, Japan, and the United States. South Korea: deaths, 1959; population, 51.71MM (1 per 26,396 people) Japan: deaths, 12,926; population, 126.3MM (1 per 9771 people) United States: deaths, 609,767; population, 331MM (1 per 543 people) Even their worst is better than our best, because we clearly mishandled this "benign virus" in the beginning and they didn't. Both countries have much greater population density, and they still did much better overall. I can point to plenty examples of countries that did it right and didn't see nearly as many deaths.

  4.  @sps000111  The federal executive didn't create any mask mandates. They were all done at the state level. The CDC offered guidelines, but states were free to go along with it or not as they wished. For all of your states rights talk, the states did the thing that you are whining about. And for someone who claims to care about civil liberties, I don't see you working on repealing the USA PATRIOT Act. Considering that you don't even know what human rights means based on your above statement, I'll just leave it at that.

  7.  @sps000111  Well, Republicans did it, too, and we are talking about the coup attempt at the federal level. Then again, you have already exposed your talk of concern about the Constitution for what it really is. It's a meaningless fetish like it is for just about every conservative.
