 @Yatra-kj3zq What work did he actually do? He was the money man. He bought in early on Tesla, and the company needs subsidies to survive. He also relies on subsidies for SpaceX.

@jefflittle8913 I don't care how really early he was, he didn't build Tesla. He is not an engineer or an inventor. He was the money man. "Tesla at its peak was making" Assuming that's accurate, emphasis on "was." I could also point to its ridiculously inflated 49.4 P/E ratio, compared to every other major auto manufacturer in the single digits, propping up the profit margins.

@stewartciesla8142 I'm not enough of a psychopath to end up with a billion dollars. You either get there through inheritance, exploiting workers, tax loopholes, or lax antitrust enforcement. It's hardly a sign of virtue or skill.
