You can see it coming, but unless you have insider information, you can't say when. When the tax cuts were enacted, we already had a higher price to earnings ratio than during the dot com bubble. All these buybacks have only made it worse. The fundamentals are incredibly weak. We have a bubble, and Trump putting the screws on to lower interest rates means the bubble is only getting bigger. When they run out of room and the bubble pops, we are screwed because that Big Orange Dummy is taking away the tools to actually fight a recession.
