@laurenhilbert7805 And if you make your money by exploiting people or polluting the planet, how is that "blameless"?

@andyandryshak3961 That is completely incorrect. This is something that people often use to justify wealth, but the next thing Jesus says is, "With man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible." This tells me that it is a literal camel. Yes, it is possible for a rich man to enter through the grace of God, but that doesn't mean that hoarding wealth and actively making people suffer is acceptable, either.

Netflix isn't mainstream by now?

Wade Haden Yeah, all that Golden Rule, love they neighbor, and don't diddle kids stuff, not to mention the idea that we are judged by how we treat the poor (where the predominant belief at the time was that wealth was a sign of divine favor and charity would risk the wrath of the gods) are just so terrible.

@elijahjames8837 Then why was it impossible with man in the next paragraph?

@laurenhilbert7805 Have you seen "The Good Place"? They have a very interesting discussion of this very issue. In the show, rather than questions of religious faith, it is one of philosophies regarding good and evil. At one point, it is revealed that, because of the ripple effects, things cause harm when we think we are doing good. I personally think that such things need to be solved systematically or all the individual goodwill in the world won't do a bit of good.
