  1. A lot has to do with the fact that America is pretty big, and if you grew up in a rural or suburban area not particularly close to a border, you didn't get much of a chance to practice, and for most people, the window is closed by the time schools even try.

  3. 24:08 Admittedly, I've never watched local TV in Germany (during my brief stay there with my summer military training, our barracks didn't have local TV so we watched videos on our days off), but here in the US, you can't watch local news without hearing about someone getting shot. That's partly why just about the only local news I'll watch is weather and traffic, but sometimes sports and election returns.

  5. Make your bed? Why? Nobody's going to see it, and it's easier to just have it where you left it when you woke up so you just need to pull the sheet over you at bedtime.
