@joesuka2114 When someone gets that rich, it is not uncommon to get out of touch (see: Paltrow, Gwyneth). Moving to a state with no income tax shortly thereafter (even if it is a lefty hotbed like Austin) shows what is motivating him.

He is capable of rising to the occasion, like when he called out Rubin for his nonsense about the Post Office and Shapiro on systemic racism, but it seems like he goes too far the rabbit hole. I really don't understand why people would want to listen for hours on end in hopes of finding those nuggets, though.

@Kevin Leavey Well, there were people (creator of this channel included) who strangely thought that it would be a great idea. It should have been a no-brainer that someone who lets people talk and goes along with what people say is a terrible pick. That said, I think the real reason that Trump wanted him was that he wants more debates because he knows he's behind.

It wasn't just on the sports page when Ben Johnson got his gold medal stripped in 1988 or Russia as a whole was banned from international competition in 2016.

@Kevin Leavey I am voting for Biden. I don't think that Trump can handle an extra debate, but that doesn't mean that he knows that he can't handle it. The usual rule of thumb is that the candidate who is behind tends to want more debates and the one who is ahead wants fewer.

ppm120667 Well, radiologists policed themselves, and their premiums plummeted. When my brother was in third grade, the doctor set his forearm upside down after it was broken. If that would have been my son instead of my brother, he wouldn't have ever had to worry about money again. As long as fields refuse to deal with those bad apples (which spoil the whole bunch), they are endangering patients, so that is why they need to pay premiums. Cinsidering how that the worst actors could never actually pay the settlements, there is a good reason why malpractice insurance exists. Then again, considering your lack of understanding in one area where your Dunning Kruger is kicking in, I can't be surprised that it kicks in other places, too.

ppm120667 Malpractice insurance is sold by specialty. A GP will pay a different rate than a surgeon, so that doesn't help your argument at all.

ppm120667 I'm not saying that I like the system we have now, but Medicare for All is health insurance for everyone. The mere fact that you keep talking about paying for a doctor out of pocket shows that either you aren't the lefty you pretend to be, or you are extremely misinformed on the issue that you claim to be a dealbreaker. Then again, it's not surprising since you don't actually want to do anything about it except vote for a party that you know can't win to help a party that wants to go the opposite way of what you claim to want to go.

ppm120667 I saw what you said about Medicare for All, but the fact that you seem just fine with paying out of pocket for seeing a GP shows a lack of understanding of how it actually works. Considering your profession, my theory that you think that you can just ride out four more years (or even decades) and that is why you don't really care about things that affect workers turned out to be correct. ppm120667 Saying that they shouldn't practice is well and good for dealing with future malpractice, but that doesn't really help people the first time a doctor commits malpractice, does it? And those other specialties or even GPs can cause serious harm. If a doctor misreads a test for allergies, that doctor can kill a patient. If an eye doctor prescribes the wrong eye drops, he/she can blind someone. Some things may be an honest mistake, but not having insurance means that the patient really won't get his/her needs addressed when malpractice happens. You ignore that at the peril of the American people.

Your nonsense about how "a basic checkup should be paid out of pocket" proves that you don't care about the poor. Pretending that malpractice doesn't exist hurts people, and you are doing it in field after field. I gave examples of how other fields besides surgery can cause serious damage that costs a lot of money to address. Your other remarks show that you really don't understand how insurance works at all. You spread the risk, because the costs are far too high on the individual level, so if malpractice insurance doesn't exist, and someone causes multimillion dollar injuries (which you apparently so think isn't a thing since you think damages should be capped), the patient won't be able to address his/her needs. Are you just still going in the hope that probability will kick in and sooner or later you'll get something right? Then again, you already proved that in your talk about wages being insubstantial. Enjoy your sheltered life while you can.
