It's just like in baseball how teams are obsessed with getting walks and home runs and nobody chokes up on two strikes to try to put the ball in play anymore, the hit and run is extinct, the stolen base gets rarer by the season, and the game got boring. It will have to take some brave team willing to play a different way and actually win before the spell is broken.
