I remember being shocked at how these same people who loved W in 2004 were insisting by 2008 that he wasn't really a conservative. Except for the contradictory things, he give them everything they wanted! It wasn't his fault that the results of that were a ballooning debt and a terrible economy. That was the fault of modern American conservatism.

@lwaves If he does something to prove he is sincere, I am willing to accept, but he has to prove that he is truly repentant and not just a rat leaving a sinking ship.

@lwaves So true. Maybe he should accept that his problems go back much farther than 2016, and maybe apologize for his Sandy Hook remarks or pay his child support.

@VMonkies So true. As a Baptist, we were taught about redemption, but you have to repent in order to be redeemed.
