  4.  JustinWilliams-ed2ug  6'1 is still pretty tall. We're just mocking the fact that he feels the need to lie about it and say that he's 6'3. I've seen Jeb! standing next to Poppy, and their stated height difference plays out. Obama is also 6'1, and the two look to be the same height to me. As far as the mockery for lying goes, there was a guy in my old office who'd insist that he was taller than he was. Finally, the two of us stood next to each other in stocking feet, and after he kept up his lie after getting caught, I told him, "There's no shame in being the same height as Tom Cruise. I felt a lot better about myself when I accepted the fact that I'm the same height as Michael J. Fox."

  5.  JustinWilliams-ed2ug  It's not just the lying about the numbers. It's about the things that he does to try to mask the truth. I'm way shorter than Trump, but I'm not a liar (seriously, Google the heights of the people I mentioned in my story, I was clearly being self-deprecating making fun of the guy lying about his height). Then again, I'm not the one bragging that my great genes make me a superman, either. There's a difference between a short person mocking a vain person who wears lifts and still can't make it to his stated height or someone with a few extra pounds to lose mocking someone for wearing a girdle and lying about height and weight to literally be just on the side of obese.
