  1. The Second Amendment clearly mentions militias. Article I, Section 8 says that one of the major roles of a militia is to pit down a rebellion. Therefore, the Founding Fathers never meant for there to be armed revolution. Even ignoring the question of whether or not random people with guns could literally defeat tanks and bombs, this is an argument that the Constitution defeats.
